Up and Coming: Moda Does it Again!

I was just thumbing... or clicking... around today and I found myself at the Moda website where I inevitably end up checking out their new fabrics.  Here are four that I really fell for that will be coming out in the next several months:
Salt Air:  Check out the fun, bright colors but they still have that soothing feel to them.  Love these!

Oh Deer:  Who doesn't love little woodland critters?  I just love the simple, amazing pattern that these fabrics have.  Love MoMo's designs!

Ladies Stitching Club: Oliver and S does it again!  I can't wait to find these beauties in person!  These would be so beautiful with some easy sewing projects!

And finally, in case you were ready for Christmas again...
Blitzen:  Brought to you by the amazing Basic Grey, these fabrics are sure to be pleasers.  Beautiful!  I could sew lots of stockings with these.

So there you go.  A few lines to look forward to and get you in the mood for sewing!

I received a fun little email about this new line from Tina Givens called Star Flakes and Glitter.  It's an amazing holiday line scheduled for next winter and the reason I love it is that the colors are so unexpected for a Christmas Collection and yet they work!!  I really, really want to see this one in person!

Farewell Halloween...Until Next.... April?

I hope you all had a wonderful holiday.  I sure had a good time.  I love that my neighbors come trick-or-treating with their kids and they stay and gab for 10 minutes!  What great friends I have!  It was also the most amazing weather ever for Halloween!

But, I have one last Halloween note before we let this holiday go...  I found this over at Tula Pink's blog!

It's a new line, due out in April, called Nightshade.  I have seriously enjoyed this gal's fabric designs and her creativity.  I can't wait to see her quilt samples with this stuff!  I'm sure it will be thrilling!

So goodbye Halloween... until next April!

Have You Seen It??? Heirloom by Joel Dewberry

I am so excited about this new line by Joel Dewberry!  I had such a great time with his Aviary 2 line, I couldn't help but squeal (inside my own little head) when I saw his booth at Quilt Market announcing his new line, Heirloom.

Here are some super great photos of thier booth, via Joel and Laurie's blog:

Who wouldn't love this sweet chair re-do in their living room?  I LOVE it!

I thought their booth had an amazing look to it.  Definitely one of my favorites!

And here it is in the Sapphire Collection.  Yep.  You guessed it.  I ordered the who sha-bang for the Yards and Yards shop.  Arriving later this month.  (Cue the inner squeal.  :)

Heads Up: New Cloud 9 "Across the Pond"

via Cloud 9

I have a confession.  I am not a "green" person.  I try to be environmentally responsible.. you know, don't litter, re-use grocery bags, recycle tree limbs, compost.... we even have chickens!  But I don't own canvas grocery bags and I don't really buy into "global warming."  In a lot of ways I want to rebel against "green" just because it's shoved down my throat.

But I will admit, there are some seriously amazing "green" fabric companies out there.  Cloud 9 is one of them and they have some really pretty lines coming out.  This one is called "Across the Pond" and it's due out in September.  I love the Fall feel and I love these colors.  It comes in other Colorways as well.  So if you're into the organic fabric, this is a great company to look in to!  Keep it up, Cloud 9!!

Up and Coming: Aviary 2 by Joel Dewberry

OK... this is my favorite fabric line so far of 2011! It's called Aviary 2 by Joel Dewberry and I LOVE this! It should be out soon.

I really can't pick a favorite Coloway here, but if I HAD to choose, it would be the orange, brown, blue combo. What is it with me and orange lately?

Oh! But these colors rock my world, too! I might need to re-decorate my girls room!

Anyhow, I love this stuff! I got all the images over at Joel and Laurie's blog, right HERE.

AND.... did you read the blog? Because if you did then you saw this:

"Check back soon for a Sneak Peek of Joel's new "Heirloom" collection, and some patterns we will debut in Salt Lake this May."

A new line by Joel... always a plus! And the bigger plus is.....

I AM GOING TO THE SALT LAKE QUILT MARKET IN MAY!

I am so excited. There are some fun things happening here at Yards and Yards, and you guys will be the first to know. It's going to be fun!
