I noticed at Quilt Market in Salt Lake that Michael Miller Fabrics is trying something a bit different. I'm still not sure how I feel about it since I love to know the designers and I learn which designers match my style. But these "Color Stories" are exactly what they sound like. They are fabrics matched by colors.
They have a ton you can check out right here at the Michael Miller site.
But, here is the one that really jumped out to me at Market. It's called Citron Gray. And can you guess my very favorite print? It's the gray polka dots. I guess I have a polka dot spot in my heart.

Feature Fabric: The Big E Group by Michael Miller
Michael Miller has an amazing new line of fabrics that should be hitting the shops soon. It's called the Big E Group and it coordinates with the adorable Hedgehog Group. Love these fabrics!
Check out these swatches. I love the bold, Bohemian feel. The medallions right into the paisleys. I got all of the pictures off of the Michael Miller Website.

I really like these. Any of you shop owners out there planning on carrying this? I know it will be out really soon. If so, comment and let me know.

Up and Coming: Whimsy
Ooo la la! If I were French, that would sound much better, I'm sure.
I found a new line by Pillow & Maxfield. This line is sold through Michael Miller Fabrics, in case you are a fabric shop owner looking for an Oooo la la to add to your store.
It comes in 3 Colorways, but I'm just going to share my FAVORITE with you. You can view the rest over at the website. Check out these lovely fabrics. Does your inner-sewer-heart go THUMP like mine did? Love this.

I look at it and think...
Patio furniture.
Girls Bedroom.
Throw Pillows.
Pincushions.
Cork Boards.
What do you see?

Just Dreaming: A Chair Turned Yuck into Yummy
Here I go, dreaming away again. I found this vintage chair in our local classified for $30. It has nice lines and I can just see the potential screaming from underneath that yucky brown paint and that old cushion.

If this chair were within 15 minutes of me, my dream would become reality and that chair would be one happy chair. Why? Because it would get painted white with a cushion covered in something like this:

Too bad you are too far away, little chair. What a statement you could make!
Hmmmmm.... looking at the fabrics I was dreaming about, I see a theme. I must be feeling green today. And it's not even close to St. Patrick's Day!
Is it just me or do you dream about projects like I do?

What If... Dreaming about this table...
What if I had more time on my hands? Ha! That's a good one. I have always loved the idea of taking old, beat up furniture and making it special again.
Today I am dreaming about taking this $95 dining disaster...

.... and turning into a treasure!
Imagine... painting the table and chairs a crisp white, or maybe a fun blue or brown. You won't have to fret too much about ruining it because pretty much anything would be an improvement.
Next, whip out the super nail gun you got for Christmas and add new fabric for the chairs.
How about one of these...

That dining set would be a conversation piece for sure. Do you see it?
And I could save the world, one dilapidated piece of furniture at a time. Oh the things I could do with that spare time....
