Up and Coming: Weekends by Erin McMorris

It's time for another fabric line that I love. What can I say? I love a lot of fabric lines. But this one has a special place in my heart. Why? Because of the adorable fabric with bicycles on it, of course!

This fabric line is called Weekends and I can see why. It just makes me feel a little more carefree and relaxed. The designer is Erin McMorris and this line was created for Free Spirit.

All of these wonderful images were found at the Free Spirit website. On the site, this is what they wrote about Weekends:

"Weekends is a fresh new collection of designs inspired by sunny relaxing days, with time to garden, bike or picnic in the park. Combining hand-drawn flowers with precise patterns and dots create designs that are summery and modern. The palettes, with butter yellow, tomato red, lavender and leaf green will take you from dawn to dusk. Enjoy your Weekends!"

I love this stuff! What would you do with this amazing line?

Ooo la la! If I were French, that would sound much better, I'm sure.

I found a new line by Pillow & Maxfield. This line is sold through Michael Miller Fabrics, in case you are a fabric shop owner looking for an Oooo la la to add to your store.

It comes in 3 Colorways, but I'm just going to share my FAVORITE with you. You can view the rest over at the website. Check out these lovely fabrics. Does your inner-sewer-heart go THUMP like mine did? Love this.

I look at it and think...

Just Dreaming: A Chair Turned Yuck into Yummy

Here I go, dreaming away again. I found this vintage chair in our local classified for $30. It has nice lines and I can just see the potential screaming from underneath that yucky brown paint and that old cushion.

If this chair were within 15 minutes of me, my dream would become reality and that chair would be one happy chair. Why? Because it would get painted white with a cushion covered in something like this:

ALL FABRICS DESIGNED BY PATTY YOUNG FOR MICHAEL MILLER

Too bad you are too far away, little chair. What a statement you could make!

Hmmmmm.... looking at the fabrics I was dreaming about, I see a theme. I must be feeling green today. And it's not even close to St. Patrick's Day!

Is it just me or do you dream about projects like I do?

Up and Coming: Modern Affair by Pat Bravo

I think I am in love! Pat Bravo is an owner at Art Gallery Fabrics and has been in the textile industry since 1989. Her work always inspires and "Modern Affair" is no exception. Available in October of this year, it is sure to be a pleaser.

She also has three other lines that are coming soon. You can see them all HERE at the Fabric Gallery site. Soooooo nice!!!! "Dreaming in French" makes me so glad that I have 3 girls!

And now, here is some of the "Modern Affair" Collection:

And of course, a few close-ups of my favorites!

Peach Calla Lily

Teal Flower Blast

Turquoise Fizz

You can find more about Pat Bravo and Art Gallery at her WEBSITE. Can't wait to create with some of this!!

Up and Coming: Anna Griffin Darcey Line

I spied this today and liked the bold, bright, geometric look. Very bold! It's designed by Anna Griffin and is sold through Baum Textile. I'm pretty sure this is available now, but sometimes those release dates are a mystery in this industry.

What do you think? Too bright? Just right? I'm still seeing some of these on seat cushions in a dining room. I might really just have to do that one of these days.

Check out some other Up and Comings from Moda, Joel Dewberry, and Moda again.

What If... Dreaming about this table...

What if I had more time on my hands? Ha! That's a good one. I have always loved the idea of taking old, beat up furniture and making it special again.

Today I am dreaming about taking this $95 dining disaster...

.... and turning into a treasure!

Imagine... painting the table and chairs a crisp white, or maybe a fun blue or brown. You won't have to fret too much about ruining it because pretty much anything would be an improvement.

Next, whip out the super nail gun you got for Christmas and add new fabric for the chairs.

How about one of these...

That dining set would be a conversation piece for sure. Do you see it?

And I could save the world, one dilapidated piece of furniture at a time. Oh the things I could do with that spare time....
