Introducing the Random Ruffles Baby Quilt

I have a new PDF Pattern called the Random Ruffles Baby Quilt.  If you look close, you can see that there are ruffled quilt blocks all throughout the quilt top.  It adds such a girly touch and a lovely texture to the quilt.  I really love this pattern!  AND to top it all off, it was really quite easy to make.  A beginner could definitely pull this one off and what an amazing baby blanket it makes!

I used the Aviary 2 fabrics by Joel Dewberry.  These fabrics have been a hit in the shop.  I am out of many of the fabrics, but I have his new line on order, due in the shop around mid-July.

If you are really in love with quilt, you can buy the sample quilt I made when I tested the pattern out.  It's also in my shop right HERE.  The quilt has only the very best materials and was made completely by me!  It even has an amazing cuddle fabric backing.  Enjoy the show!!!

So sweet!!! I am thrilled with how this one turned out!

This is fantastic! I love the colors and the minky backing. Was it difficult to quilt it with minky?

Liz,

The minky was a nit harder to work with than cotton, because it sort of sticks to the sewing machine as you work. I also used a larger meandering pattern than I normally would so I wouldn't squash down all the minky.

End result... totally worth it!!
