Wedding Shower or Christmas?

I went to the wedding shower for my dear friend, Michelle.  She's FINALLY found the right guy and I couldn't be happier for her! Isn't she gorgeous!?  She's has been my confidant, cheerleader, photographer, dance buddy, fashion consultant, and FRIEND for 13 years.

So, what to give Michelle and Ben for the wedding shower?  I am planning a wedding quilt if it all works out, but what to do for the shower...

Lingerie?

Definitely not the style of our friendship.

Kitchen appliances?

Michelle has been happily independent for a while.

Something off the registry?

I just really wanted to do something unique and amazing!

So, I finally come up with something unique.

Something NO ONE else would be giving her.

Something a little crazy.

It was...

HIS

and

HERS

matching Christmas Stockings for their first Christmas together!

I was kind of nervous because it was really unconventional, but I shouldn't have been.  They were a hit!  Everyone loved them and asked where I got them.  I was blushing like crazy when Michelle announced to everyone, "Anna made these.  She can make anything!"  It was the perfect gift.

I used my Heirloom Stocking pattern to make these, and you can too!  Check the Yards and Yards shop.

You are amazing! This was the most thoughtful and perfect gift. We received a nativity set as a wedding gift, and it's the one gift that makes us always think of the giver, during each holiday. I try to give Christmas gifts at weddings as often as possible! It's such a unique concept, and these stockings are absolutely beautiful!

Oh that's a great gift. I just love that pattern more every time I see it. It's one I have been wanting to get for myself and hopefully will be able to soon. I love the ones you made. The colors are great.

I love them. I have made some first Christmas ornaments for wedding showers in the past. I never thought about his and hers stockings. I love this idea.
